Mícheál Keating is a musician and media artist from Limerick, Ireland. His practice spans sound composition, improvisation, and performance, as well as photography, video, writing, and generative systems. He synthesises these elements into uncanny multimedia explorations of the rural Limerick landscape. His work foregrounds hauntology, immanence, and becoming in the landscape, while tracing entanglements between human, non-human, and land.
Keating has released 2 critically acclaimed LPs as singer/songwriter/producer of the art-rock band Bleeding Heart Pigeons (2008-2020), and he currently performs with improvised noise collective Péist, post-rock band The Low Field and singer/songwriter Laura Duff. He is also active as a music producer, media art tech, and festival organiser with Féile na Gréine.
